INVENTION CAMPS AND COMPETITIONS
The Paradigm Challenge is an annual competition that inspires youth innovation to address important social issues. This year's Challenge invites youth aged 4 to 18 to use STEM skills plus kindness, creativity, and collaboration to generate new ideas to reduce waste in homes, schools, communities, and/or around the world. $200,000 in cash prizes for students and their teachers.

The Invent It Challenge is an annual competition that inspires students (aged 5-21) around the world to unleash their inner inventor! For the 2017 Challenge, participants will focus their minds and talent on generating new solutions to environmental problems such as water scarcity, climate change, air pollution, water pollution, endangered species, invasive species and natural resource loss. Entries due by March 17, 2017.
Students, grades 5-8, are invited to create a 1-2 minute video describing a new, innovative solution that could solve an everyday problem. Ten finalists will be chosen for their passion for science, spirit of innovation and ingenuity, and effective communication skills. The finals are held at 3M Company in St. Louis. The top prize is $25,000. Deadline: April 19, 2017.
The Young Inventor Challenge provides an opportunity for children ages 6 to 18 to showcase their own original toy & game inventions to toy & game industry professionals, members of media and the general public.
The judging is split into two categories, usually 6-11 (junior) and 12-18 (senior). Deadline: November 1, 2016
